The Hobbiton map isn't just a layout of the movie set. It helps you understand where the main filming locations sit along the walking route and what you'll encounter during your tour.

The Shire's Rest

Your Hobbiton experience starts here. The Shire's Rest is home to the ticketing office, café, retail shop and parking. Most tours depart from this location before taking you to the Movie Set.

Hobbit Holes

Colourful round doors are scattered across Hobbiton's hillsides, creating the village landscape seen throughout The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.

Bag End

Located on the hillside above Hobbiton, Bag End is the iconic home associated with Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. Your tour includes a dedicated stop outside the gate for photographs. Visitors cannot go beyond the gate into Bag End itself.

Bagshot Row

Continue down the route to Bagshot Row, where you can explore the interior of a fully themed Hobbit Hole.

Party Tree

The Party Tree overlooks the Party Field and is one of the set's most recognisable landmarks.

The Millhouse

The route continues towards The Millhouse, positioned beside the water and close to the Double-Arched Bridge.

Double-Arched Bridge

Cross the stone bridge as you continue towards the Green Dragon Inn. It's also one of the most recognisable views on the Hobbiton route.

Green Dragon Inn

The guided experience finishes at the Green Dragon Inn, where you can enjoy a complimentary beverage before returning to The Shire's Rest.

The Shire's Rest

The Shire's Rest is the main departure point for Hobbiton tours. Most visitors check in here before boarding a bus for the approximately 10-minute journey to the Movie Set.

You don't need a tour booking simply to visit The Shire's Rest, although you need a booking to access the Movie Set.
